Take part in the largest climate change experiment ever

The BBC and Oxford University want the computer power you're not using. An experiment developed for the BBC by climate scientists, led by Oxford, using the Met Office climate model. All you need to do is install their software, and your computer completes computations in the background while you work.

According to the BBC the error has now been fixed. However, some participants will need to start their model over at 1920. I think this is good news for distributed projects in the long run, because it shows that mistakes can be spotted which might not be spotted in a closed experiment.
